Care & Warranty
CARE RECOMMENDATIONS:
Following the Care Instructions given to you will help your refinished fixture remain in excellent condition for years to come.
Do not use abrasive (gritty) or corrosive cleaners. A mild liquid cleaner can be used (such as Dawn dish soap). We recommended you clean your fixture once per week.
Do not use Brillo-pads, scrubbing sponges, steel wool, sandpaper or any other gritty objects or cleaners to clean your refinished piece.
Do not leave bar soap or bottles standing on the surface of the refinished piece for long periods of time.
Do not wash clothes, or use any dye on your refinished piece. Colored bath beads may stain your bathtub.
Do not touch or use the fixtures within 48 hours after the refinishing process is completed.
The bathroom should be kept at room temperature, 72 degrees, to properly cure during the drying period.
Fix leaking faucets/taps as soon as possible. This will prevent rust stains or mineral deposits from your water and pipes.
DO NOT USE tools, ladders or any other heavy objects in the tub.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
All Residential Bathtub and Tile refinishing is covered under our (4) year warranty. All Sink refinishing is covered under our (1) year warranty. All Commercial refinishing of any kind is covered under our (1) year warranty
Bathtub Makeover warranty ensures the work performed will be free from de-lamination, (cracking, peeling, matters of adhesion due to workmanship not caused by neglect by the customer), from the date of completion for a period of FOUR (4) years.
Bathtub Makeover will NOT be liable for:
- Damage caused by the use of abrasive cleaners.
- Damage caused by the use of corrosive cleaners.
- Damage caused by objects placed on the refinished surface such as: suction-cup bathmats, pillows, soap dishes or any similar products used on the tub. We offer a non-slip mat.
- Damage caused by dye or colored bath beads.
- Damage caused by the refinished surface being touched or exposed to water within 48 hours following the completion of the refinishing process.
- Damage caused by the use of heavy objects (tools, ladders, etc.) in the bathtub.
- Issues related to matters of adhesion (peeling/bubbling) due to leaking faucets or taps that are not repaired.
Bathtub Makeover is not responsible for dust particles that may fall into the tub while the new finish is drying. Most particles caught in the drying topcoat will be removed naturally in the process of normal cleaning. ‘Picking’ at spots will not be covered.
Bathtub Makeover is not responsible for any damage caused by the removal of masking tape on painted walls or wallpaper. To protect the immediate area we must mask it off with tape. Patience and caution is advised when removing any tape or paper following the elapse of the full 24 hours as recommended.
Any scratching, deterioration of the glossy finish or staining over time due to usage, cleaning practices or water conditions will be considered normal wear and tear.
